Monday, May 22, 2006 - An Introduction Some things I like saying over and over again, and other things I'll only say once. This post will be a nice collection of those things. (Oh, who am I kidding, if you ask nicely I'll smile, jump up and down and tell you anyway. Cuz I'm fluffy like that) Who am I? If you've found your way here, chances are I dragged you over pleading with you to check out my new blog. But for those of you who just stumbled upon it, here's a quick presentation: check the sidebar. Should I feel the need to expand on the fascinating subject of me me me, I'll add it there. =P Why this blog? The answer to that is quite simple - the mind is a forgetful thing, and I don't want to embark on the greatest adventure so far in my life without trying to record at least some part of it. I don't want to stand there next May racking my brain and trying to remember how my first month in Beijing was. I want to know it all, remember it all, experience it all! And I want you all to be a part of it. I want you to be a part of my chopstick-y adventure. And I want to keep in touch with you all, know about your lives and what you're up to. (Y'know, if that's ok with you.) Where am I? As of now, I'm still in a grey, overcast Sweden, and apart from a month-long vacation in the States, I'll be here until August 27th. After that, I'll be somewhere in Beijing. Hurray! What will this blog contain? Anything and everything I feel like sharing. The mundane, the exciting, the unexpected and the routines. Anything in particular you want to know about? What would make me insanely happy? Comments! Feedback! The more the better. In English, Swedish, Chinese, German, Swahili, it doesn't matter (I just won't answer the ones I don't understand), just let me know if you reacted at all to what I wrote. Click on the "x enjoyed the dumplings" and then Post a comment. |

Mmmm...dumplings.
So how is it that you could make references to fortune cookies in this blog before you had ever even eaten one? I don't see anything about fried bananas *gasp* I never had that 'traditional' Chinese dessert with you!
somehow "fried bananas can be funny" doesn't sound as good.. it sounds pretty bad, actually. i have visions of some poor guy in extreme pain with people laughing at him.
